Microneedling

Microneedling is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment aimed at facial and skin rejuvenation.

Microneedling is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment aimed at facial and skin rejuvenation. It naturally triggers collagen production, which creates tighter, smoother, and firmer skin.

The procedure uses a microneedling tool to finely puncture a patient’s skin. This causes “controlled” skin injury and activates the body to fill in these small or “micro” wounds, thus organically producing new collagen, which ultimately leads to a decrease in scars, and improved skin hydration and texture.

Why Turn To Micro-needling?

This treatment is encouraged for patients who want to:

  • Reduce scars created by thermal burns, acne, or surgery.
  • Decrease fine lines and deep wrinkles.
  • Fade stretch marks.
  • Address dyspigmentation (i.e. melasma).
  • Reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
  • Decrease pore size.
  • Help tighten saggy skin.
  • Reduce acne outbreaks.

The procedure takes only a few minutes to an hour. The timing depends on the area being treated, plus, the severity of the issue. A least six weeks are needed between each session, and the number of microneedling treatments needed depends on each patient, their skincare goals, and the problem that needs to be addressed.
